Schartec SDL3 Double Door Lock with Alarm – Security Lock for Patio, Balcony and Conservatory Doors

The Schartec SDL3 Double Door Lock combines the simplicity of a clip-on lock for patio and balcony doors with the added protection of an integrated 120 dB alarm. Made from aluminium and impact-resistant ABS, the SDL3 slides over both horizontal door handles in seconds and locks securely into place – with no tools, no drilling and no combination code required. If the door is shaken or forced while the alarm is armed, the alarm is triggered automatically, providing an immediate deterrent to intruders.

The adjustable tube fits handle spacings from 6.5 cm to 18 cm, making it compatible with most common patio and balcony doors. Simply activate the alarm using the switch, make use of the 30-second delay to close the door – and the SDL3 takes over, providing both mechanical and audible protection. Ideal for homes, holiday lets and ground-floor conservatory doors.

Benefits at a Glance

Integrated 120 dB alarm: When armed, any significant vibration or attempted break-in triggers a 120 dB alarm for 30 seconds. If further vibrations occur, the alarm cycle repeats until deactivated.
30-second arming delay: After activating the alarm, you have 30 seconds to close the door and secure the lock without triggering the alarm – even if the lock is moved during this period.
Instant clip-on locking: The two-part clip mechanism locks securely over both door handles in a single movement. To open it, simply operate the black slider and pull the two sections apart.
No tools, no drilling: Can be fitted and removed in seconds without making any permanent changes to the door. Ideal for tenants, holiday lets and temporary use.
Wide handle compatibility: Suitable for horizontal door handles with a spacing of 6.5 cm to 18 cm – compatible with most standard patio and balcony doors.
Robust aluminium and ABS construction: Lightweight yet sturdy – resistant to impact, corrosion and wear for reliable everyday use.
Dual deterrent – visual and audible: The highly visible white bar acts as an immediate visual deterrent, while the alarm adds a second, effective layer of protection that a purely mechanical lock cannot provide on its own.
For indoor use only: Designed to be fitted on the inside of the door, adding both physical and audible protection to the existing door lock.
