Instructions for concreting the gate posts

Preparation: First, make sure you have all necessary tools and materials at hand, including a drill, screws, hinges, a wrench, concrete, and possibly a spirit level.
Positioning: Mark the position of the posts where they will be embedded. Make sure the posts are aligned straight and mounted at the same height.
Digging the hole: Dig a hole for each post that is deep enough to support the bottom part (40 cm) of the post, plus a few centimeters for the concrete. The hole should have a diameter of at least 30 cm and a depth of 80 cm.
Aligning the foundation: Place a layer of gravel or crushed stone in the hole and smooth it out so it is evenly distributed.
Inserting the post: Place the post in the hole and make sure it stands straight and level on the layer of gravel or crushed stone.
Concreting: Mix the concrete according to the manufacturer's instructions and fill the hole around the post. Use a spirit level to ensure the post is level while filling with concrete. Let the concrete cure for at least 24 hours before proceeding.
Covering: To complete the concreting, a cover can be installed around the post. This is especially helpful to protect it from weather influences.
